  I bought some shoes and changed my mind so I went to the store to return them. I brought the same credit card (my only one) and my receipt with me and the person at the cash told me that my card number didn't match the receipt. I explained 100 times that this is the card I used, showed him my credit card statement with the transaction and card number and he still couldn't do anything. He calls Aldo head office and he's explaining the situation and I decide to just mention that I used Apple Pay and he says 'well you should have mentioned that from the beginning'. No, YOU should have asked me more questions to find out. It is not for me to know that Apple Pay creates a fictitious card number on your receipt (which is what he told me) All to say, to the person that served me- ask more questions in order to create a better client experience and don't tell me that it's the clients responsability. Funny enough, first time I've bought shoes from there... definitely my last.

  It all went downhill when I asked for my student discount at the cash with my BMO SPC MasterCard. It’s a brand new card and I couldn’t get my 10% off because I couldn’t provide proof of schooling. The manager who was helping me tried to explain that I need to always present a piece of Student ID before he/she can apply the discount. I don’t have a student ID. I attend online courses. I wouldn’t have been able to get the BMO SPC MasterCard without providing concrete documents proving my academic attendance.

  Nice, fun selection of shoes and accessories. Check your bill at cash, deals announced on shelves are not always in the cash system.

  After showing me an email correspondence directly from their superiors stating that I, in fact, need to always show my student ID, I let it go and purchased my faux suede boots and purse anyway. They told me that I could keep the bill and return to any ALDO to get the 10% as a refund. However, the SPC discount can only be applied before a purchase which I found out later by reviewing the SPC terms and conditions.

  On Monday, January 5th, 2018, I visited Pointe Claire mall for the first time. My plan was just to purchase some spring/fall boots and purses for 2018. My preferred brand is ALDO because of its wide variety of Cruelty-Free options. I walked into this ALDO and I was completely blown away by the way everything was paired and displayed. Everyone was well dressed and I was greeted with a warm welcome from a gentleman in a white shirt and black pants. I was impressed and so was my friend.
